With ten years of experience in marketing, sales, finance, training, business planning and development, Alicia Maciel is founder and principal consultant of On The RISE Corporation.  There she specializes in writing business plans, strategic planning, and presenting business seminars for start-ups, small businesses, and non-profits.  Alicia also provides business consultation through the Orange County Small Business Development Center and the Orange County Women’s Business Institute to small business owners and entrepreneurs.  An accomplished speaker and presenter, Alicia has been featured in training videos and has also served as a guest speaker, trainer, and facilitator at seminars and conventions nationwide.  She stands out for her passion, determination, and keen ability to present any material through a down-to-earth, friendly, and inspirational approach that enables her to quickly connect with others and spread contagious enthusiasm.

Previously, she served as senior business planner, for Walt Disney Attractions, Disneyland Resort. In that capacity, she conducted research, initiated and completed business plans, conducted business analysis, and evaluated the financial feasibility of projects. She also served as a resort spokesperson, conducting Spanish radio interviews and promotions.

Prior to that, she was purchasing card administrator for Chevron Products, Inc. Her duties included developing a marketing program, writing a monthly cardholder newsletter, creating the card’s distribution and support system, and developing usage guidelines and procedures. For Chevron, she also served as a company spokesperson and was featured in a television community service announcement promoting serving as mentors and positive role models in our communities. Earlier in her career at Chevron, she was a financial accountant.

She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting from University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Fluent in Spanish, she is a member of the Orange County National Latina Business Women Association and MANA.  Alicia has been living in Brea, CA since 1998.
